Backround of the 1919 Chicago White Sox

      There were eight different ball players who were involved in the scandle of the 1919 World Series. The first baseman Arnold Gandil persuaded Joseph Sullivan that the fix of the World Series could be done. The eight players who made the choice to throw the World Series were paid in cash. For throwing the 1919 World Series, all eight players would recieve $10,000 each.
